Description
‘When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and He causes the clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain and brings out the wind from His storehouses.’
I intuitively started “Thundering Waters” by collaging pieces of fabric and copper leaf, and then painting over these in the mountainous area with acrylics. The sky and water was painted with inks, oil paint, gold and silver leaf. I then poured hot beeswax over the sky and water, fusing with a blow torch.
The moon is a silk circle spun by my own silkworms.
Finally, I painted the waterfalls with oil, cold wax and a pallet knife.
