‘Shin the Eternal Flame alive in my heart and I’m alive in His.’
God wrote His name in our human heart. Shin also stands for the first letter of ‘Shaddai’, one of God’s names. Have a look at a bisection of the heart. If you follow the lower, larger left ventricle and the smaller right ventricle, the lines of the letter Shin are formed.
The letter also has the shape of a flame. ‘The Eternal Flame’. Therefore I felt it was best expressed with the following technique and materials. Firstly I used watercolor, inks, gold, and finally encaustic. Encaustic uses hot bees wax, painted with a torch. Also called fire painting.
