Description
Inspiration, for this piece of art, comes from Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh rises upon you”.
In the Hebrew text above, ‘shine’ can mean to be luminous, to set on fire or to kindle. Also ‘rises’ can mean: to shoot forth beams of light, to irradiate.
Therefore “Blaze of Euphoric Motion” was painted in an expressionistic style. In just that, an exuberant flash of inspiration and energy. Nonetheless, it consists of many layers of the above. The Fluorescent figures add to the feeling of energetic motion. The figures are based on my cut outs, “scissor painting”, inspired by Henri Matisse’s technique of freehand cutouts.
The Original is also available but by contacting me directly. Its painted with acrylic on a cradled, 880×580 mm MDF panel. The panel edges are treated with a Shou Sugi Ban Finish. Sold.
