Description
The figures dance in the Upper Waters. That is where I receive my healing, in the River of Life.
This is an encaustic painting. Therefore, strip the layers of wax away, and you will be surprised to find hidden layers.
To start, partly concealed, is a watercolor painting. Which is transformed by a torrent of wax, set ablaze, to form a rushing river.
In addition, figures are added using a Henri Matisse technique. In that, they are cut outs, with no previous drawing. Also called, “Painting with scissors”.
